April 15 may fill you with anxiety about taxes and long lines at the Post Office. But it’s also a day when all kinds of places have Tax Day freebies. You might want to take advantage of one or more of the six giveaways below. (OK, technically, one runs from nowthrough April 17.)

If you'd like to blow off some tax day steam on stage at a nearby Hard Rock Cafe, you could earn a free hamburger. The "Sing for Your Supper" giveaway goes to any Hard Rock Cafe patron who gets up on stage there on April 15 during designated hours and sings. After you’ve finished your song, you’ll be rewarded with a free Local Legendary Burger.

Visit a participating Schlotzsky's restaurant on April 15, order a 32-ounce drink and a bag of chips and you’ll get a free small “The Original” sandwich. That’s lean smoked ham, genoa and cotto salamis, melted cheddar, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, black olives, red onion, lettuce, tomato, mustard and Schlotzsky's signature dressing on a sourdough bun.

This Boston Market freebie is a Buy One, Get One free deal. On April 15, visit a Boston Market restaurant, order an individual meal (chicken, turkey, meatloaf or pulled pork) for $10.99 — get it, like the 1099 tax form? — and you’ll receive a free individual meal. All meals come with two sides plus cornbread.
Free Queso and Chips at California Tortilla
Despite its name, California Tortilla is located in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C. and West Virginia.
