This Video Is Why We Love Dick Van Dyke

The 90 year old surprises Chicagoans with an impromptu rendition of a classic tune

June 30, 2016

TV and film legend Dick Van Dyke was in Chicago earlier this year for a fundraiser event at the birthplace of Walt Disney.

During the visit, he led attendees in an impromptu performance of "Let's Go Fly a Kite" from the 1964 classic film Mary Poppins.

Not only does this video remind us of why we love Dick Van Dyke, it also reminds us of the power of music to connect us and spark joy at any age, a topic Van Dyke explored in his recent and inspirational book Keep Moving: And Other Tips and Truths About Aging.
