Brooklyn-based writer and editor Helen Zelon has written for New York magazine, the Village Voice, the New York Observer, Scientific American and MORE magazine, among others, and has been honored with multiple prizes for investigative reporting. Zelon has also taught writing at two New York City public high schools and at Sing-Sing Prison in Ossining, New York; she currently serves as Editorial Director of Encore.org.
