Before making the transition into the nonprofit sector in 2002, most of Wendy Walleigh's career was in high-technology marketing and sales. In 2002, she became Vice President of Marketing and Development at Junior Achievement of Silicon Valley and moved to Africa with her husband, Rick, in 2006, to do volunteer work for TechnoServe, an international economic development NGO (non-governmental organization). She is currently a board member of Junior Achievement of Silicon Valley.
