The Christmas season is often accompanied by trips to the shopping mall, getaways to parks for outdoor winter activities and — of course — long hauls to visit faraway friends and family. The to-do list seems to quickly get out of control, and before you know it, the holiday season has passed.

But this Christmas, why don't you slow down and enjoy some tunes from the good ol' days?

In the last few years, synchronized light shows have become a big hit in the U.S., with many homes beginning to play up their decorations with lights that dance to music.

Just in case your neighborhood doesn't have any of its own, here is a compilation of holiday light shows, put to music from the boomer era, that we think really brought their A-game:

Elvis: Blue Christmas

The Fab Four (Beatles tribute band): Hark! The Herald Angels Sing

Bob Seger: Little Drummer Boy

Vince Guaraldi: Linus and Lucy (Peanuts theme song)

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: Carol of the Bells

And one song that is not quite of the boomer years, but a popular Christmas song nonetheless.
