A chance meeting in a doctor's waiting room leads to a candid conversation

Carole Leskin, 75, is a retired global human resources director who lives in Moorestown, N.J. She calls herself "a lover of nature, music, art, and my rescue cat and sole companion, Lovebug." Carole also enjoys writing and photography.
Of "The Question," she says: "This story began as an entry in my journal, where I write daily. When I read this again several days later, I realized the importance of my question: what am I going to do with the rest of my life? I believe it's one of the most important questions we ask as we age. I thought many aging people are dealing with that same question, especially now with the pandemic adding a layer to an already difficult issue."
